Although modern medicine accepts the concept that our body has the ability to self-heal, such concept is rarely practiced in actual diagnosis and treatment. The following 2 points show such contradiction that the average person experiences every day.
- When you go see a doctor because of any discomfort, the diagnosis that the doctor gives you is never that “Your body is in the process of self-healing and that is what is causing your discomfort.” Instead the diagnosis that you typically receive is that there is something wrong with a particular part of your body. The concept of equating abnormality to illness is commonly accepted in modern medicine.
- In any medical testing there exists a normal range and any result that is outside of the normal range is considered abnormal or unhealthy. An abnormal result is often defined as an illness. Modern medicine has not clearly defined any symptom or medical testing value as the result of the self-healing process.
From these 2 contradictions we can see that either modern medicine does not believe that our body has the ability to heal itself or that it believes when our body is in the self-healing process that:
- We should not be experiencing any symptoms or discomfort
- We should not see any abnormal results if we conduct any medical testing during this period
However, we know that when we receive a cut to the skin, we will experience swelling, pain, itchiness, and scab forming near the wound. It is common logic that these symptoms are part of the self healing process. In the case of a cut, the actual cut is considered the illness and the discomfort that follows (swelling/pain/itchiness/scab) is considered part of the self-healing process. The scab that forms at the end should be considered as the waste product that results from the self healing process. When we treat a cut wound, we can only apply disinfectants to reduce inflammation. The process of healing and growing new muscle tissue around the wound is done by the body itself, such process cannot be replaced by any medication. From this example, we can see that our body has very powerful self-healing ability.
Similarly, our internal organs also have the ability to heal themselves. During the process of healing there may also be feelings of discomfort. There may also be wastes created by the healing process. Unlike a scab that may simply fall off the skin once the wound is healed, waste product created by our internal organs is not as easy to remove. Since this type of waste is not the usual waste created by our body, the passages that our body uses for our regular waste may become obstructed due to these added wastes. Our body may even use additional passages that are not used normally and such passages may lead to discomfort for the person. As we discussed earlier, when discomfort occurs, most people would seek help from doctors and undergo various tests to discover abnormalities. If a person conducts blood and urine tests during the self healing process, the results may be abnormal due to the aforementioned wastes created during the healing process. Since the value is outside the healthy range, the person may be diagnosed as ill and will have to undergo treatments to correct the abnormality.
From observing my own self-healing process and those around me, I have discovered that many symptoms such as sneezing, common cold symptoms, albuminuria, palpitations, arrhythmia, insomnia, headaches, swellings, rashes, and etc. are all possible symptoms that occur during the healing process. Many of my friends went through medical tests in hospitals during their self-healing process and have gotten high cholesterol, blood sugar, blood fat levels that were outside of their normal ranges.
When our medical system defines all abnormalities as signs of illness, these “good symptoms” of self healing would all be considered as illness as well. Therefore we must think critically regarding the following:
- How many treatment procedures that are currently used by modern medicine are actually targeting the symptoms of our healing process rather than the actual illness?
- If these treatments result in the derailment or termination of our healing process, what are the consequences to our body?
- Are there any chronic diseases caused by this act of “mis-treatment”?
- Is modern medicine’s definition of illness really accurate?
In many healthy living regiments, there are many examples where discomfort and other abnormalities are signals that show that the regiment is working for the particular person. This phenomenon is called reverse reaction or remedy reaction. These symptoms are mostly caused by the body’s self-healing process.
